The Hebrew month is Sivan this Portion is for sabbath Sivan 28,5769

Shelach "To Send"

This week's Torah portion is from Leviticus 13:1 through 15:41 and deals with Moses sending forth the spies into the land promised by G-d to Israel. In the selection process, we find something of an anomoly when considered in light of the present popular teaching among many Christian Zionists and a few Messianic leaders in the issue of Two Houses. Their posture is that since the mother of Ephriam was a Gentile and since Ephriam was among those tribes of the north taken into captivity, they became what many call "The Lost Tribes of Israel.' Furthermore, they surmise that those of you who are not physically descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and whose heart is stirred with passion toward Israel are indeed from among those lost ones and are part of the tribe of Ephriam, because your mother is a Gentile. With this entire position, I take great exception. So much so that I have written a book entitled Arise O Clan of Judah in which I show the reader that this position is untenable and, in fact, contrary to Biblical teaching. I will not fully develop this today, since the book is 76 pages long, but I will at least touch on one easily identified point. In Leviticus 13: 6 we see that from the tribe of Ephraim, Moses selected Hoshea ben (son of) Nun, whom he called "Joshua." From the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunah was selected. In the book of Joshua, in chapter 1, G-d clearly confirms the covenant He made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with Joshua. Joshua was a Jewish man who inheirited the Land of Promise just as his forefathers had done.Caleb, on the other hand is of suspicious lineage. In Numbers 32:11 & 12, we read, 'Because they did not follow Me completely, none of the men 20 years old or more who came up from Egypt will see the land I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob- none except Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, because they did follow the Lord completely.' This should rouse your interest enough to explore who were the Kenizzites. The first mention of them is found in Genesis 15:19 as G-d described the land which He was giving Abram. The Kenizzites lived in the land before it was given to Israel. Caleb, you see, was not a physical descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but he was counted among the tribe of Judah. Those who teach this "Two House" theory claim the Gentiles who are "connected" to Israel are of the tribe of Ephriam; G-d shows us that in Biblical times, they were counted among the tribe of Judah. You, being a wild olive branch, have been grafted into the tree that is Israel, so you may partake of all of the promises and the blessings that G-d is providing to His people. We are a tree of twelve branches. There are some who would teach that you may figure out which tribe you are grafted into and those who have it all figured out. But the word of G-d says that your grafting is because of your faith in Y'shua, who is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. You, like Caleb before you, are counted among the tribe of Judah and none other.

Mission Updates:Greetings saints, We went to the food bank today with no intent of picking up food for to give out, problem was they sorted some out special for us so we took it. Yes we still have to pay 16 cents a pound. The Bill is around $600 now I think and it needs pried very soon. The child above is an example of the many children we get and whom your money helps. Also radio is coming due, so really I need to at the very least pray in a $1000 to get us by until the newsletter people donate. I feel soon The LORD Yahweh will surprise everyone and completely fund this ministry as we are in His will and the work increases daily! You know many people have told me if everyone that listens to radio and or is on your email list and donated $20 a month or week the bill would be paid. The results of asking for people to do that generally lowers the donations? Go figure? But they are right it would take care of the people…….right now it takes about $3700 to $5,000 sometimes more to do what we do depending on what comes in in other donations. But this is as of June our 3rd year in this building and 9 years in this part of the LORD's ministry. We have been doing a mail out tract and newsletter for 168 monthly issues, started the PNS service wow about 1998 or earlier. Did short-wave from 2001 till almost 2004 when I got on American Voice radio. And I was ordained many years ago from more than one ministry not that those matter as what does matter is that "I am called of the Lord Yeshua!" We have battled many demons, such as a 12 year old boy who wanted to kill his mother, exposed a cult, helped many other ministries, fed thousands, clothed thousands, doctored many, prayed with so many I could not could, give out thousands of large print Bibles, and led many to salavation, seen many, many healing and miracles that they seem commonplace. I guess my point is that the work from day one just seems to increase, the more we beleive in Him by faith the more He uses us, makes me wonder where all the other people of Faith are to do the Work? Oh Well Lord Yeshua just add some more work I am here till I drop and after.......Poeple once saved are supposed to become servants of the most High God.......and the safest place to be is in His will......To work for Him all you have to do is submit yourself under Messiah and he will use you. Enough of my rambling as I am need to help…..and this folks is what it's all about.

THE ANT & THE CONTACT LENS

Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff. She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked out her contact lens . "Great", she thought. "Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry..." She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge... But it just wasn't there. She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she may find her contact lens. When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought of the bible verse "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth." She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is… Please help me." Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?" Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it! The story doesn't end there. Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant lugging that contact lens with the caption, "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You.." I think it would do all of us some good to say, "God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if You want me to carry it, I will." God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Yes, I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him....I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13)

Parshas Naso Do Your Thing

By Rabbi Raymond Beyda

"And Moshe counted them – according to the word of G-d – as he was commanded." (Bemidbar, 3:15)

After the census of the tribes was completed Hashem commanded Moshe to do a count of the elite tribe of Levi. In this case the infants from 30 days old and up were included, whereas with the other tribes only males from 20 years to 60 years old were included.
This crated a problem for a man like Moshe who feared any violation of proper modesty. The Midrash relates (as quoted by Rashi zt'l), a conversation between Moshe and Hashem.
"How can I enter the tent to count the infants when women who recently gave birth are living? It is not the modest way of our Torah." "You go to the entrance of the tent – and I will contribute my part", was the answer from our Creator. And so Moshe did as he was told and when he stood by the doorway a Heavenly voice rang out and informed him the number of eligible members of that household. Miraculous assistance from Heaven! The question is: If Hashem was going to tell Moshe the number why send him on the tedious mission of going from tent to tent to count? Why not just give him the tally? The answer is that Hashem wanted to teach Moshe an important principal in service to Him. When a difficult task – or even one that seems impossible – confronts a person one should not give up and walk away. Instead a person should do all that he can and pray that Hashem will do the rest. When the daughter of Par-oh went to bathe by the river and saw a basket floating on the water she stretched out he arm to pull the basket to safety. The floating basket was much too far for her to reach and yet she tried to reach it. The impossible became possible when Hashem stretched her arm the distance necessary to retrieve Moshe the baby in the basket. She did all that was humanly possible and then Heavenly assistance – and quite miraculous assistance at that – kicked in to complete the task. You might find it difficult to learn Torah, or perhaps extending your budget to include charity seems impossible. Maybe you have an idea for a chesed institution or an educational venture for those in need. Don't assume it is impossible. Start the process. Do your thing. Add some prayer and watch it happen. All Hashem expects is that you do your thing. If you do to the maximum – He will do His.
Shabbat Shalom
Greetings Saints,
Yes it is Monday and time to do a mission update, as I write my son and Scott (my next door neighbor, member of MB, and helper at church) are putting the bus back together from putting a water pump on it.
I am praying to get the parts for brakes (I need for sure back brakes as I have to pump them to stop) which really would not cost much but money is so very tight as with most of the people out there.
Speaking of money and or donations, we are so really blessed as on person I talked to on the phone said, " Most of the time people do not do what you do unless they have a large congregation", very correct but you see while we never seem to be caught but the Father uses various people from all over to get His work done, that by far is a miracle.
In Fact the picture above is the oil that leaked from the doorway for days until we had to replace the board, and no it did not come from the other side as it was dry on the back side. Wipe it off it would just keep coming back, so yes I am very confirmed that we are in the Lord Yeshua's will doing what we do. In fact I carry anointing oil in my pocket around so when asked for prayer I use it for people to be healed etc. We have seen so many miracles that we just consider them a normal thing.
We do have an atvantage we do get many little children like the one that came in last week, I think they are new people across the street from us. They came in witha three month old wanting baby food, we were happy to provide..
We need to make an order from the food bank as it is the first of the month we need to rasie a money for this.
So as saved person are you a blessings to others? You are supposed to be, instant in prayer I mean if I am in a check out line and someone asked for a prayer I generally pray right then and there as the Word says;
Romans 12:1
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. 9Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 14Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 16Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
As I strive to do what the Word says I am happy to that which I am called to do, I know I am far from perfect but still fear Yahweh and know I am in His will. So yes The Father uses many people to do what we are called to do, I am thankful for these people who listen to Him and support His work, this work going on 9 years.
Yes there are many needs, like know I ma in bad need of a computer for my wife another computer to do her work. Hers is so slow and freezes up, she deserves better I pray.
No I have not mailed a newsletter out this month, nor paid many of the bills which my wife says is due.
So lift us in prayer, help if you can.

In His Perfect Peace,
Pastor Dan Catlin
