The Haftorah Parashah HaShavuah is Yeshaya (Isaiah) 49:14-51:3‏

Parshas Eikev

Yeshaya (Isaiah) 49:14-51:3 This week's haftorah continues the theme of comfort and presents the strong feelings of the Jewish people in exile. The prophet Yeshaya captures their concern and presents their deeply sensed feeling of rejection. Yeshaya quotes, "And Zion said Hashem has forsaken and forgotten Me." (49:14) The long, dark years of exile have caused the Jewish people to sincerely believe that Hashem has abandoned them never to return. There are no indications of redemption in the air and the rapid spiritual decline of the times certainly does not reflect the glorious era of Mashiach. Therefore, the Jewish people reluctantly conclude that the master plan must have changed and their long awaited redemption will never come to fruition. To this, Hashem responds and informs the Jewish people that they are gravely mistaken. Hashem says, "Can a mother ever forget her child; cease to have compassion for him?! Even if she could, I will never forget you!"(49:15) Hashem revealed to His people that His concern for them extends beyond all human concerns. The Jewish people are too meaningful to Hashem to allow Him to forget them. Hashem adds, "Behold I have engraved you on My palm; your glorious walls are constantly before Me." (49:16) Hashem tells His people that, in reality, they remain His constant focus every single day. The Malbim (ad loc.) explains that the ultimate purpose of the world can only be accomplished through the Jewish people.

The glorious era of redemption revolves around them and it is only they who can reveal to the entire world the truths of Hashem. Hashem therefore awaits their return with anxiety in order that His master plan can come to fruition. He has, figuratively, affixed them to the palm of His hand and always sees them in their final stages of redemption. In actuality, He is constantly maneuvering world events in order to bring about the redemption. The Jewish people are therefore, by definition, the center of all world events. Contrary to the Jewish people's opinion, Hashem never takes His mind off His people and is always anxiously awaiting their return.

The prophet continues to share breathtaking glimpses of our final redemption and then raises the obvious question. Why don't the Jewish people sense this special relationship? If, in fact, Hashem cares so much for them why don't they feel it? Why does Zion consider herself so neglected and forgotten? The prophet answers this with a penetrating question from Hashem, "Why have I come and no one was there; have I called and no one responded?" (50:2) Hashem indicates that He has extended Himself on numerous occasions but the Jewish people did not respond and didn't even bother to be there. In essence, Hashem has done His part in helping us sense His concern but we have not responded. Our Chazal in Mesichta B'rochos (6B) share with us their painful insight regarding this issue and explain this passage in a most vivid form. They inform us that when Hashem brings His presence to a synagogue in anticipation of a quorum of ten and does not find them there He is immediately angered. To such situations Hashem responds, "Why have I come and no (quorum) was there for Me; have I called and no one responded." This statement suggests that we have overlooked a serious dimension of our relationship with Hashem. To begin we quote the Gemara in B'rochos (6A) which informs us that when a quorum congregates for the sake of prayer Hashem's presence goes out to greet them. Hashem's desire to be with His people is so significant that He even goes out to meet them, awaiting their arrival to His sanctuary? From this we understand that prayer is far greater than an obligation or responsibility. Prayer is an opportunity to unite with our Creator and associate with Him. So significant is this relationship that Hashem even precedes His people and anxiously awaits their arrival to His home. We should cherish this opportunity and attempt to foster this relationship at all costs. It goes without saying that we should never ignore this opportunity and abuse this relationship. If Hashem deems it appropriate to be there we should certainly do our part to respond to His kindness and warmth. If we fail to attend we are causing Hashem to extend Himself in vain and can not expect positive results to follow. Hashem is truly angered by our arrogance and accepts our behavior as a sign of indifference or rejection. Yeshaya concludes, "How can we expect to sense Hashem's warmth and concern?" If we truly desire a relationship with Him we must do, at the least, our part to receive Hashem's gesture of warmth and to be there when His is there. The prophet continues this theme and asks, "Who amongst you reveres Hashem, listens to the voice of His servant, but went into darkness leaving no radiance for himself. He should trust in Hashem and rely upon Him."(50:10) Chazal, (Brochos 6B) again interpret this passage in a unique manner and reveal another important insight about prayer. They explain that the prophet was referring to the daily minyan attendee who failed once to attend his prayer services due to a pressing personal appointment.

In response to this absence Hashem brings the situation to the attention ofothers. They ask, "What has happened to this G-d fearing individual who was accustomed to approaching Hashem on a daily basis?" Now, the man has gone to a place of darkness and no light from Hashem will shine upon him. He should have relied upon Hashem rather than failing to keep his appointment with Hashem in His office. (see Rashi ad loc.) This response also seems quite harsh to us. After all, the person was always a G-d fearing individual who constantly attended prayer services. Why is he being so severely denounced for this and even worse, regarded as going to a place of darkness? The answer seems to be in the concluding words, "He should trust in Hashem and rely upon Him." Apparently we are noticing a change of attitude and a principal deviation here. Prayer represents our recognition that everything, our livelihood included, is in the hands of Hashem. Our first appointment of the day is with Hashem wherein we request that all of our day's experiences will be met with success. Our happiness, health and wealth are all up to Hashem and we therefore request of Him that He pay serious attention to all our needs. However, one who cancels his daily appointment with Hashem demonstrates that he considers matters to be in his personal control. He couldn't meet with Hashem today because a more pressing need existed. Excluding Hashem for the moment, this personal appointment was necessary in order to secure his personal finances. If he didn't attend he could forfeit his opportunity of producing financial success.Hashem responds that this person has forgotten the most basic principal of life. He should have trusted in Hashem because ultimately even the success of this meeting depends upon Him. Hashem would have "shined His light upon him" if he would have followed the formula. But now, after demonstrating his lack of faith, he has gone away from Hashem. From this point and on his relationship has been severely effected and Hashem chooses not to allow this person to sense His true concern for him. Yes, Zion feels neglected and doesn't sense Hashem's interest in her. But, as the prophet reveals, this is not Hashem's doing. We have always had the opportunity of prayer and could always enjoy a warm personal association with Hashem in His very own home. However it is we who abuse our privilege and force Hashem to keep His distance from us. If we would take prayer more seriously we would always feel the helping hand of Hashem. How appropriate are these lessons which are read in conjunction with this week's parsha, Eikev. Because, in fact, the central theme of the parsha is to never forget Hashem and His kindness. This week, Moshe Rabbeinu reminds us that our sustenance and livelihood are in Hashem's hands, rather than our own. In addition, Moshe Rabbeinu introduces the opportunity of fervent prayer and informs us that continued success and satisfaction are the natural results of such perfect service. (see Devorim 8:17, 18 and Devorim 11: 13,14, 15) May we merit to continuously develop our relationship with Hashem through our prayer and receive the radiance of Hashem always. by Rabbi Dovid Siegel Torah.org

Mission Updates: Greetings Saints,  If you believe there is God and Yeshua then you have to believe there is a Devil. When you attack one of Satan's people or dominions he will come back on you greatly. Right now we are under a heavy spiritual attack. First is the why, I really cannot tell you right now as I was sworn to secrecy, but it is very big. I can say it will give this ministry a lot of exposure and it is a right thing to do. Prayerfully it will save others through this rough trial and sacrifice that we are going through, it is a right thing I do!

1 John 3:16 16Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

You will know soon but in the mean time you have to just trust me.Yes we are under attack, right now I am greatly sick with the flu, I have had cold chills, sweats, etc since Sat. I have not been this sick in some time. I will get over it but I have been unable to even look for a radio guest for this week, let alone I can not go over to work at the mission tomorrow. Mom will go an run the mission…You see she made a very minor food order to see how it all works and the alternator went out on the mini-bus. We really have no money to fix, also the trans started slipping which I pray is just a front seal. My son's car is blown up; my daughter's car the transmission started slipping in it Sat. also. My wife's little car has to be taken to a dealer to be fixed. So this means we have no transportation! I have a list of things happening to other members of my family such as my son had to get stitches in his chin last night, the list really goes on and it started with what we are about to do for the sake of others. Donations have been the slowest all year this month.

We really need your prayers badly, please trust me in what I am telling you and lift us in prayer. Satan is mad but Yeshua is Greater of course. We are in a very tough spiritual battle with demonic forces. So prayers are number one lift us in prayer, and help if you can! In His perfect peace, Pastor Dan

Daughters car is fine as long as we don't use passing gear, bus fixed and van coming along nicely…. Keep Prayin for us !! love ya sisterlinda

Greetings Saints, I received this notice today ( posted at the bottom) and you can see that he feels it is very urgent to fast immediately, while I also believe the Body of Messiah needs to fast, I also realize that to declare one without notice to start as early as tonight is not something everyone  can do, some for medical reasons as myself I am just pulling out of a 3 day bout with the flu, right now I must eat to get strength back. ( I do know this man and have for a few years, he is serious) What I propose is that all who wish to see  what the Father is personally telling us at this hour to joining me Monday at dark and will break fast Thursday at dark of next week, that would be Monday the 25th at dark thru Thursday the 28th. The question I would have all ask of the Father is "what would you have us do now at this late hour", period. keep it simple. let me know if you are going to join this fast. Pass it around to everyone in the Body of Messiah. Which means lists, ministries, pastors etc....send it to all. I will freely share results on our various lists. We encourage ministers to post to their ministries and get their congregations in on this....

Kinds of fastings;

Complete fast, all food and all water

partial fast, food

Do not do fast from all if you have health problems, if fact if you have health problems ask your doctor first. Please let me know if you are to join us,

In His Perfect Peace, Bro. Dan, Pastor of Messiah's Branch

I am calling a International Fast starting tonight - will you join with me?

ISAIAH 58:6   "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the opressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?"Verse 9: Then shalt thou call, and YHWH shall answer: thou shalt cry, and He shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity...

Like many I have been restless for many months vascillating from lows of depression to trying to be optimisitic and asking GOD what He would have me to do in this hour of economic and worldwide collapse. I feel impressed to write and let you know that I think what we need right now across the land is to call a Solemn Fast.

There is too much confusion and we can ill afford not to hear from YHWH the Father and JESUS in this hour. We all need precise instructions on what to do. So many including myself are looking for directions on what preparations to make, where to move, what states to relocate to and the time to take action before the gauntlet comes down on this country is short. Even now new world order satanic forces are plotting to unleash another 9-11 style event and catapult this country into martial law. As David Wilkerson said. "In one hour America will change..." To miss JESUS now not hearing His voice could be deadly. I am starting a fast today and am going to begin by fasting dinner for 3 days. It is a small effort but will open the door to larger fasting and maybe light a match that could start a international fasting effort. If you have repented, prayed, been in the Word daily you must ask yourself have I fasted?  No one likes to fast but fasting is sure to do one thing - make it possible that you can hear the voice of the LORD.If any of you are a pastor, a radio talk show host or maybe it is just your own personal reach of friends and family - I am calling for a International Fast to be inacted so that we might get some clear instructions from JESUS before it is too late and no man can work. I will repeat time is running out - we are soon to be plunged into dark days as the prophets have been warning.

If any leaders want to call another one count me in as we need thousands to participate in this and perhaps this email can be the impetus to get a much larger one going. BRUCE LEE

Pastor Dan,

I will join in this fast with you. I have felt a deep call to fast, but don't really know how to do it properly.I too need to clear out the cobwebs and hear what God really wants me to do. My job situation is looking very bad right now, my company is getting rid of approx 1/3 of its salary employees and we are not sure at this point who is going or staying, announcements happening within the next couple of weeks.

My answer

Key thing afflict your soul by denial of food and water or food etc. being first in repentance, going ahead with daily tasks just keeping your wondering mind on the Lord being thankful for all you have.

Remember changes such as a job to the Lord giving you a better job always seem to hurt, but he is in control. I had to get thrown out of the storefront in order to find the building I have now....

be Blessed, PD

What Does this ministry have? Really I have nothing…….I have faith and a mission. I know I am in my Father's will. I know he is there as since I answered His call 8 years ago he has never failed me. Most people would not even consider attempting to do what we have done. But you see we have done nothing, he has did it all through you. Yes sometimes I make the wrong choice in vans or whatever I buy, but when you have maybe $1000 to spend, you get what you pay for. We did have a couple of good vehicles donated to us over the years and they lasted both about two years I think each. But I heard my Father's voice and I am only doing what he says. I am in the ministry 24/7 meaning, doing radio, looking for speakers, (quality ones ) praying for people and after that I also am a Father. Yes bills are late because for one thing this ministry has no budget, How can it when one month $1,000 comes in and another month $5,000 while some months hardly a $1,000. I pay over what you would call a tithe by paying the month lease to own payment. My family makes great sacrifices to do the work He has given us. We do not complain, I am tahnkful for just having a bed, yes I do complain when the money for the work is not there, but that is for the people and not me. Let alone most people do not believe in helping the homeless...if they did I would not be needed in a city of almost half a million.....But again I know I am in His will, I know that we my family will get through the tribulation when it hits as long as I am in His will. Yes I called a fast to prayerfully get answers for so many that needs them that do not hear daily from Him, those that are worried for their lives. I worry only about he who could kill my soul. I stay as much as possible in His will and beg I might but he still full-fills the need. So the ministry needs are placed out here for the world to see, and they also get to see Him use someone to fulfill them. I have nothing but faith. So in this time you should be hearing from him and already know that if you are in His will that is the place of safety. We as children so often want to know ahead of time what we get or where we are to be but we are to be calm and trust him, study the word, and be a doer of the Word, only a doer of the word will be saved. And why worry so much for your body is your soul is saved? Back to the ministry, we took a building that had a no occupancy sticker on the door, it needed condemned, and now it is a functional place. Not done but we brought the property value up over $20,000 or more through faith, yes he used people to support His works and He used everyone of you to get this done.

Fasting is a good thing so let's all do it! Be Blessed, PD

Shalom Brother-

I'm not sure what all that your are seeing but I beleive that the United States will be in Nuclear War with Russia in about 10 days time.  While this will greatly affect us all, in the heavenly this is preparation for that final battle of the Amos War that will bring Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel in a sneak attack--this is scriptural, by the way.  The results of the Amos War will be the Fulfillment of the Feast of Yom Teruah and the coming on of the Ezekiel War.  The Ezekiel War brings on the Tribulation.  Just as there are 10 days between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur, there will be ten years between the fulfillment of Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur.

A true world wide fast and prayer, knowledgable prayer, is the only thing that can slow this all down, but be careful, we must pray according to the will of Abba and not what we want.

We have a 6 carrier strike group flotilla in the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean preparing to blockade Iran.  Any attempt to blockade Iran will be taken by Russia as a blockade on itself.  The Russians are mad enough to go to nuclear war over Georgia (which they will need to accomplish their goal for the Ezekiel War) much less the fact that we are putting in early warning radar and missile defense shield batteries in Poland (which to Russia is a third strike for a nuclear war).  All the Russians are waiting for is for the Olympics to be over so they can gain the aid of China (which has 'lost face' in the Olympics) and the right incident to take our eyes off them to start this whole mess.  It will come, very, very soon!

Prison Weekly Av 15, 5768

Shalom

The Hebrew month is Av These Parashahs HaShavuah are for Sabbath Av 15, 5768

The Torah Parashah HaShavuah is Va'eschanan"and I pleaded" Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11,

Haftarah Isaiah 40:1-26 & Brit Hadasha Mark 12:28-34

Next Weeks: Torah Ekev "On the heel of " Deuteronomy 7:12-11:25 Haftarah Isaiah 49:14-51:3 & Brit Hadasha Romans 8:31-39

Moshe pleads with God to enter the Holy Land, but is turned down. (Remember, God always answers your prayers - sometimes with a "yes," sometimes with a "no" ... and sometimes with a "not yet.") Moshe commands the Children of Israel not to add or subtract from the words of the Torah and to keep all of the Commandments. He then reminds them that God has no shape or form and that we should not make or worship idols of any kind.

The cities of Bezer, Ramot and Golan are designated as Cities of Refuge east of the Jordan river. Accidental murderers can escape there to avoid revengeful relatives. They then await there until tried.
The Ten Commandments are repeated to the whole Jewish people. Moshe then expounds the Shema, affirming the unity of God, Whom all should love and transmit His commandments to the next generation. A man should wear Tefillin upon the arm and head. All Jews should put a Mezuzah (the scroll is the essential part) upon each doorpost of their home (except the bathroom).
Moshe then relays the Almighty's command not to intermarry "for they will lead your children away from Me" (Deut. 7:3-4).
Dvar Torah based on Growth Through Torah by Rabbi Zelig Pliskin
In the Torah,
Moses states:
"See that I have taught you statutes and laws as the Lord, my God, commanded me to do in the midst of the land" (Deuteronomy 4:5).
What do we learn from the added phrase "in the midst of the land"?
Philosophers have taught that if a person wants to live a life of sanctity and perfection of the soul, he must flee from inhabited places and live alone in the wilderness. There he will separate himself from other people and from all worldly pursuits. This is not the path of the Torah. Moses told the people, "I have taught you to follow the commandments in the midst of the land." That is, you should live an elevated life among other people. True sanctity and perfection is to live among people and behave both towards God and towards your fellow men in a manner consistent with Torah values.
The ideal of the Torah is to bring sanctity and idealism into all aspects of human endeavor. If you live alone, you will be free from anger, envy, causing other people pain, etc. However, you will be missing opportunities for kindness, compassion and love. Moreover, the true test of controlling anger or of honesty is when you have to deal with others. Only when you are in the company of other people can you fulfill all aspects of the Torah.

The Haftorah Parashah HaShavuah is Yeshaya (Isaiah) 40:1-26

This week's haftorah introduces a special series of haftorah readings related to our final redemption. In this opening one the prophet Yeshaya delivers the Jewish people warm words of comfort from Hashem. After over one thousand years of exile the time will finally arrive for the Jewish nation to return to Hashem and His Promised Land. But, as Chazal explain (see Yalkut Shimoni Yeshaya 443, 445) the painful scars of exile, persecution, and rejection will remain fresh in their minds and it will be difficult to approach Hashem and rebuild a relationship. In addition, they will remember vividly all their acts of defiance and will be embarrassed to return to Hashem. Hashem therefore turns to His nation and expresses to them warm words of comfort and console. Hashem instructs the prophet Yeshaya, "Speak to the heart of Jerusalem and call her because her long term has been served and her sin has been forgiven." (40:2) After all of this time, the Jewish people will find it difficult to accept that Hashem is truly interested in them. Although, the time for redemption has arrived they have not thoroughly cleansed themselves from all of their wrongdoings. They question how they could entertain establishing a perfect relationship with Hashem without having even perfected their ways. Hashem responds, "Her sins have been forgiven because she suffered an abundant and full measure for them." (ibid.) The Malbim (ad loc.) explains this to mean that the harsh severity of their sufferings will compensate for their incomplete steps of repentance. The Jewish people deserve their redemption after enduring and outliving the most horrifying and tragic experiences with steadfast faith in Hashem. During their painful exile they consistently demons trated unwavering commitment to Hashem and an inseparable attachment to Him. Our Chazal (see Yalkut Shimoni Yeshaya 443, Beraishis 162) share with us an additional dimension about Yeshaya's words of comfort. They quote a passage in Shir Hashirim referring to the era of the final redemption and the profound statement the Jewish people will make then. They plead to Hashem, "If only, You could be like a brother to me." (Shir Hashirim 8:1) Chazal see this brotherly relationship as a reference to the indescribable compassion that Yosef Hatzadik showed his brothers. After the atrocious behavior the tribes displayed towards Yosef they could never forgive themselves for those misguided actions. They therefore delivered a message to Yosef beseeching Him to forgive them without harboring any ill feelings towards them. In response to their plea, the Torah states "And Yosef comforted them and spoke to their hearts." (Breishis 50:21) Chazal explain that mere words of comfort and assurance were not sufficient to allay their fears. Yosef therefore saw it appropr iate to appeal to their hearts and redirect their thinking. He convinced his brothers how meaningful they were to him and how their safety and prominence served as key factors in his attaining and maintaining his position of glory. The Jewish people express their wish that Hashem act in this same manner with them. They find it impossible to forgive themselves for all the wrong they have done to Hashem. However, as Yosef appealed to his brothers' hearts and redirected their thinking, Hashem can certainly do the same. They plead with Hashem to remove any trace of ill feelings for all their years of unfairness to Him. Chazal conclude that as Yosef allayed his brothers' fears Hashem will do the same for His people. Therefore, when instructing Yeshaya to comfort the Jewish people, Hashem states, "Comfort them and speak to their hearts." Yeshaya, as Yosef, is charged with a mission of conveying to the Jewish people how significant each and every one of them is to Hashem. Yeshaya faithfully says to the Jews, "Hashem will lead you like a shepherd tends his flock, gathers them in his arm, carries them in his bosom and gently leads young ones." (40: 11) Yeshaya informs them that Hashem does care about every Jewish soul as a shepherd cares for each of his sheep. Although the Jewish people had previously strayed and suffered so much for their wrongdoing Hashem still cares about them in indescribable measures. Yeshaya beckons the Jews not to be hesitant or embarrassed to return. Hashem cares so much for each one of them that He will personally escort them back to Him.

Yeshaya continues, " Who measured the depths of the water by his fists, the span of the heavens by his hand, the width of the land by the measure of three fingers or the weight of mountains and hills on a scale? Behold the nations are but a remaining drop in a bucket, the rust of a scale." (40: 12,15) Although in our eyes, the entire world and its inhabitants are of enormous proportions, in the eyes of Hashem they are but tiny miniscule dots. They all serve a general purpose but the concern and focus of Hashem is not specifically upon them. Yeshaya concludes, "Lift your eyes heavenward and see who created these, He who brings out the myriads by number and to each He calls by name. (40: 26) The prophet is referring to the millions of stars found in the heaven. Each of them serves a specific purpose and is identified by name at all times. Each star is significant and every one occupies a prominent position in the master plan of Hashem. In view of all the above we can suggest the following interpretation to the final words of the haftorah. Dovid Hamelech in Sefer Tehillim (Psalm 147) makes a similar reference to the stars in the heavens. He says, "Hashem is the builder of Yerushalayim; He will gather in the dispersed of Israel. He counts the stars by number, to all He calls by name. (147: 2,4) The Ibn Ezra interprets Dovid Hamelech's profound verses in the following manner. The Jewish people have been scattered all over the world which should be indicative of their insignificance. To this Dovid Hamelech responds and reminds us that the stars are also scattered over the vast span of the horizon. However, Hashem knows every one of them and identifies him by name and purpose. In this same vein Hashem knows every Jewish person and identifies with him by his individual name and purpose. Following this thought we can appreciate Yeshaya's words in this same manner. At the time of redemption Hashem will display His appreciation for each and every Jewish soul and personally escort him back to Eretz Yisroel. Every Jewish person counts because he occupies an important role in the scheme of the glory of Hashem. To Hashem every Jewish soul is greatly significant because his personal role adds a unique and distinct dimension to the majesty of Hashem. May we merit soon the realization of these comforting words with the coming of Mashiach and the ingathering of the exiles.

Mission Updates; Greetings, As most of you access the country are trilled that the temperatures have dropped saved on electric bills and having cooler nights, to the homeless it is a crisis. They NEED now sleeping bags, blankets, and jackets. Cold medication and pain meds, the work we do goes on all year and right now we have great needs, let alone we need to place a food order. Today I was already asked if I had a food box, guess what I have nothing to give out. We really need your help and maybe one of these days I will have no need to bother you but that day has not come! We need help in all area's and we really need to place that food order. Even if we could do half of it $500 it would help. So please take it all to prayer as this ministry is funded by the Father uses you who get these updates, the people who listen to radio, and some on a mailing list. We have no other means of bringing the money in. In His Perfect Peace, Pastor Dan Catlin Also we need support for radio, if we could expand radio we could bring in more money. I have been contacted by stations on regular AM and FM to be on but no funds. I have been offered a spot on Sundays at $100 a month for satellite but no funds....so if I could increase radio it would help....I also need someone who knows how to hook up mikes and mixers etc to tell me how to set things up.....also I have not figured out how to record the whole room conversation as Sabbath service is mostly me speaking but the people here interact and I have not figured out how to pick them up and me at the same time...it will be done when I figure it out..is there a things called a room Mike? I am also maybe looking for someone who would like to co-host some news podcasts.....

1 Timothy 6: 5-10

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Shalom In Yeshua our Messiah

This week sure went fast, the boys an I picked two bags of tomatoes a bag of hot peppes and a bag of grapes last evening. I will serve them to the people today. I placed our first food order yesterday and we pick it up Monday at 2:30. I did order some foods for food boxes but most of what I got was for meals at the mission. I paid a few bills but need around 700 to pay the rest of the bills for this month. We also need to get the funding for the September Newsletter so it can go out in the next few weeks. Our grandson went to the hospital last night because his tonsils were so big he could barely breath. He is only three so please lift him in prayer to have a safe surgury and speedy recovery. Thanks to all of you who support the needs for all these works. Yahweh can only supply these needs through those whom allow Him to use them. Keep us in prayer and have a very Blessed week. Pray about supporting an be lead by Yahweh to do His will!

Next weeks are Torah Vaetchanan "And I pleaded" Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11 Haftarah Isaiah 40:1-26 & Brit Hadasha   Mark 12:28-34

These are the words that Moses addressed to all Israel on the other side of the Jordan.--Through the wilderness, in the Arabah near Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Di-zahab, it is eleven days from Horeb to Kadesh-barnea by the Mount Seir route. It was in the fortieth year, on the first day of the eleventh month, that Moses addressed the Israelites in accordance with the instructions that the Lord had given him for them, after he had defeated Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and King Og of Bashan, who dwelt at Ashtaroth [and] Edrei. On the other side of the Jordan, in the land of Moab, Moses undertook to expound this Teaching. He said:The Lord our God spoke to us at Horeb, saying: You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Start out and make your way to the hill country of the Amorites and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, the hill country, the Shephelah, the Negeb, the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and the Lebanon, as far as the Great River, the river Euphrates. See, I place the land at your disposal. Go, take possession of the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to assign to them and to their heirs after them.

Thereupon I said to you, "I cannot bear the burden of you by myself. The Lord your God has multiplied you until you are today as numerous as the stars in the sky. May the Lord, the God of your fathers, increase your numbers a thousandfold, and bless you as He promised you. How can I bear unaided the trouble of you, and the burden, and the bickering! Pick from each of your tribes men who are wise, discerning, and experienced, and I will appoint them as your heads." You answered me and said, "What you propose to do is good." So I took your tribal leaders, wise and experienced men, and appointed them heads over you: chiefs of thousands, chiefs of hundreds, chiefs of fifties, and chiefs of tens, and officials for your tribes. I charged your magistrates at that time as follows, "Hear out your fellow men, and decide justly between any man and a fellow Israelite or a stranger. You shall not be partial in judgment: hear out low and high alike. Fear no man, for judgment is God's. And any matter that is too difficult for you, you shall bring to me and I will hear it." Thus I instructed you, at that time, about the various things that you should do.We set out from Horeb and traveled the great and terrible wilderness that you saw, along the road to the hill country of the Amorites, as the Lord our God had commanded us. When we reached Kadesh-barnea, I said to you, "You have come to the hill country of the Amorites which the Lord our God is giving to us. See, the Lord your God has placed the land at your disposal. Go up, take possession, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, promised you. Fear not and be not dismayed." Then all of you came to me and said, "Let us send men ahead to reconnoiter the land for us and bring back word on the route we shall follow and the cities we shall come to." I approved of the plan, and so I selected twelve of your men, one from each tribe. They made for the hill country, came to the wadi Eshcol, and spied it out. They took some of the fruit of the land with them and brought it down to us. And they gave us this report: "It is a good land that the Lord our God is giving to us." Yet you refused to go up, and flouted the command of the Lord your God. You sulked in your tents and said, "It is because the Lord hates us that He brought us out of the
land of Egypt, to hand us over to the Amorites to wipe us out. What kind of place are we going to? Our kinsmen have taken the heart out of us, saying, 'We saw there a people stronger and taller than we, large cities with walls sky-high, and even Anakites.'"

I said to you, "Have no dread or fear of them. None other than the Lord your God, who goes before you, will fight for you, just as He did for you in Egypt before your very eyes, and in the wilderness, where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way that you traveled until you came to this place. Yet for all that, you have no faith in the Lord your God, who goes before you on your journeys--to scout the place where you are to encamp--in fire by night and in cloud by day, in order to guide you on the route you are to follow." When the Lord heard your loud complaint, He was angry. He vowed: Not one of these men, this evil generation, shall see the good land that I swore to give to your fathers-- none except Caleb son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him and his descendants will I give the land on which he set foot, because he remained loyal to the Lord. Because of you the Lord was incensed with me too, and He said: You shall not enter it either. Joshua son of Nun, who attends you, he shall enter it. Imbue him with strength, for he shall allot it to
Israel. Moreover, your little ones who you said would be carried off, your children who do not yet know good from bad, they shall enter it; to them will I give it and they shall possess it. As for you, turn about and march into the wilderness by the way of the Sea of Reeds. You replied to me, saying, "We stand guilty before the Lord. We will go up now and fight, just as the Lord our God commanded us." And you all girded yourselves with war gear and recklessly started for the hill country. But the Lord said to me, "Warn them: Do not go up and do not fight, since I am not in your midst; else you will be routed by your enemies." I spoke to you, but you would not listen; you flouted the Lord's command and willfully marched into the hill country. Then the Amorites who lived in those hills came out against you like so many bees and chased you, and they crushed you at Hormah in Seir. Again you wept before the Lord; but the Lord would not heed your cry or give ear to you.

Thus, after you had remained at Kadesh all that long time, we marched back into the wilderness by the way of the Sea of Reeds, as the Lord had spoken to me, and skirted the hill country of Seir a long time. Then the Lord said to me you have been skirting this hill country long enough; now turn north. And charge the people as follows: You will be passing through the territory of your kinsmen, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. Though they will be afraid of you, be very careful not to provoke them. For I will not give you of their land so much as a foot can tread on; I have given the hill country of Seir as a possession to Esau. What food you eat you shall obtain from them for money; even the water you drink you shall procure from them for money. Indeed, the Lord your God has blessed you in all your undertakings. He has watched over your wanderings through this great wilderness; the Lord your God has been with you these past forty years: you have lacked nothing. We then moved on, away from our kinsmen, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir, away from the road of the Arabah, away from Elath and Ezion-geber; and we marched on in the direction of the wilderness of Moab. And the Lord said to me: Do not harass the Moabites or provoke them to war. For I will not give you any of their land as a possession; I have assigned Ar as a possession to the descendants of Lot. It was formerly inhabited by the Emim, a people great and numerous, and as tall as the Anakites. Like the Anakites, they are counted as Rephaim; but the Moabites call them Emim. Similarly, Seir was formerly inhabited by the Horites; but the descendants of Esau dispossessed them, wiping them out and settling in their place, just as Israel did in the land they were to possess, which the Lord had given to them. Up now! Cross the wadi Zered! So we crossed the wadi Zered. The time that we spent in travel from Kadesh-barnea until we crossed the wadi Zered was thirty-eight years, until that whole generation of warriors had perished from the camp, as the Lord had sworn concerning them. Indeed, the hand of the Lord struck them, to root them out from the camp to the last man. When all the warriors among the people had died off, the Lord spoke to me, saying: You are now passing through the territory of Moab, through Ar. You will then be close to the Ammonites; do not harass them or start a fight with them. For I will not give any part of the land of the Ammonites to you as a possession; I have assigned it as a possession to the descendants of Lot. It, too, is counted as Rephaim country. It was formerly inhabited by Rephaim, whom the Ammonites call Zamzummim, a people great and numerous and as tall as the Anakites. The Lord wiped them out, so that [the Ammonites] dispossessed them and settled in their place, as He did for the descendants of Esau who live in Seir, when He wiped out the Horites before them, so that they dispossessed them and settled in their place, as is still the case. So, too, with the Avvim who dwelt in villages in the vicinity of Gaza: the Caphtorim, who came from Crete, wiped them out and settled in their place. Up! Set out across the wadi Arnon! See, I give into your power Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin the occupation: engage him in battle. This day I begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the peoples everywhere under heaven, so that they shall tremble and quake because of you whenever they hear you mentioned.

Then I sent messengers from the wilderness of Kedemoth to King Sihon of Heshbon with an offer of peace, as follows, "Let me pass through your country. I will keep strictly to the highway, turning off neither to the right nor to the left. What food I eat you will supply for money, and what water I drink you will furnish for money; just let me pass through--as the descendants of Esau who dwell in Seir did for me, and the Moabites who dwell in Ar--that I may cross the Jordan into the land that the Lord our God is giving us." But King Sihon of Heshbon refused to let us pass through, because the Lord had stiffened his will and hardened his heart in order to deliver him into your power--as is now the case. And the Lord said to me: See, I begin by placing Sihon and his land at your disposal. Begin the occupation; take possession of his land. Sihon with all his men took the field against us at Jahaz, and the Lord our God delivered him to us and we defeated him and his sons and all his men. At that time we captured all his towns, and we doomed every town--men, women, and children--leaving no survivor. We retained as booty only the cattle and the spoil of the cities that we captured. From Aroer on the edge of the Arnon valley, including the town in the valley itself, to Gilead, not a city was too mighty for us; the Lord our God delivered everything to us. But you did not encroach upon the land of the Ammonites, all along the wadi Jabbok and the towns of the hill country, just as the Lord our God had commanded. We made our way up the road toward Bashan, and King Og of Bashan with all his men took the field against us at Edrei. But the Lord said to me: Do not fear him, for I am delivering him and all his men and his country into your power, and you will do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon. So the Lord our God also delivered into our power King Og of Bashan, with all his men, and we dealt them such a blow that no survivor was left. 4 At that time we captured all his towns; there was not a town that we did not take from them: sixty towns, the whole district of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan all those towns were fortified with high walls, gates, and bars--apart from a great number of unwalled towns. We doomed them as we had done in the case of King Sihon of Heshbon; we doomed every town--men, women, and children--and retained as booty all the cattle and the spoil of the towns. Thus we seized, at that time, from the two Amorite kings, the country beyond the Jordan, from the wadi Arnon to Mount Hermon--Sidonians called Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir--all the towns of the Tableland and the whole of Gilead and Bashan as far as Salcah and Edrei, the towns of Og's kingdom in Bashan. Only King Og of Bashan was left of the remaining Rephaim. His bedstead, an iron bedstead, is now in Rabbah of the Ammonites; it is nine cubits long and four cubits wide, by the standard cubit! And this is the land which we apportioned at that time: The part from Aroer along the wadi Arnon, with part of the hill country of Gilead and its towns, I assigned to the Reubenites and the Gadites. The rest of Gilead, and all of Bashan under Og's rule--the whole Argob district, all that part of Bashan which is called Rephaim country--I assigned to the half-tribe of Manasseh. Jair son of Manasseh received the whole Argob district (that is, Bashan) as far as the boundary of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and named it after himself. Havvoth-jair--as is still the case. To Machir I assigned Gilead. And to the Reubenites and the Gadites I assigned the part from Gilead down to the wadi Arnon, the middle of the wadi being the boundary, and up to the wadi Jabbok, the boundary of the Ammonites. [We also seized] the Arabah, from the foot of the slopes of Pisgah on the east, to the edge of the Jordan, and from Chinnereth down to the sea of the Arabah, the Dead Sea. At that time I charged you, saying, "The Lord your God has given you this country to possess. You must go as shock-troops, warriors all, at the head of your Israelite kinsmen. Only your wives, children, and livestock--I know that you have much livestock--shall be left in the towns I have assigned to you, until the Lord has granted your kinsmen a haven such as you have, and they too have taken possession of the land that the Lord your God is assigning them, beyond the Jordan. Then you may return each to the homestead that I have assigned to him." I also charged Joshua at that time, saying, "You have seen with your own eyes all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings; so shall the Lord do to all the kingdoms into which you shall cross over. Do not fear them, for it is the Lord your God who will battle for you."

Mission Updates:

Greetings Saints in His Perfect Peace,   A quick update as I get ready for radio, the big news this week is we got into the food-bank warehouse, meaning we can buy food from them at a cheaper rate and  have access to some free food. They service 136 agencies or ministries in Wichita plus bring food to about ¾ of the rest of Kansas. They gave us a shopping list and we really need to use it as it is still close to the 1st of the month. We want to be able to stock up so we can give out food boxes those that have homes we help as well as the homeless. Lately we have had nothing to give out. Looking the list over we would like to call in an order of close to a $1,000. This will be a test order so to speak and we will see how many people can get food boxes out of it. Yes part of it is for cooking meals. To get free meat we have to have a place to keep it. There basic one complaint is that our freezer needed replaced as it leaks and I agree with them. Inside we have only room for a stand up freezer. What I want to do is add a shed outside, home depot will sell be one and put it up for $999 plus tax, and place a large lay down freezer in it. Then I think we will be able to fill it up with free meat! We can use both to cook and for food boxes. Also if we do have the crash everyone is talking about the US government will distribute food of course, they will use what is in place ergo these large food bank warehouses that are around the country and the people they supply will have access to food. That means us! We also believe that our building will soon get paid off. Someone or more than one person will come forward and pay off the building. But Right now I am you to please pray over this and see if you are led to help! And yes bills for August are in so we need your help in all areas as well as I would like to pay radio which ahs now went up to $200 a month. No donation is too small.

Lift us in prayer and help if you are led to.

The LORD  bless thee and keep thee; The LORD make His face shine upon thee,
and be gracious unto thee; The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee,

New Israeli regulations could cripple Christian ministries Israel's Ministry of Interior has decided to reinstate an old regulation that is threatening to cripple, if not shut down, several Christian ministries by limiting the time volunteers can spend serving in Israel to 27 months. The ruling was as sudden as it was drastic. The effects began to be felt earlier this month when three volunteers from Christian Friends of Israel, assuming their visas would be renewed at the Interior Ministry under the previous five-year agreement, were instead told they had two weeks to pack up and leave the country. Since then, several more volunteers who have been in the country at least two years have been denied visa renewals and are planning hasty departures. Many others have been left with a heavy sense of uncertainty as their own visas come due in the following months. Several Christian organizations, which were founded to bless Israel, are bolstered by volunteer staff who until now served for up to five years in various capacities. The sudden change in policy has suddenly cut some staffs by 50 percent or more. The regulation does not specifically target Christian volunteers, but is having the greatest effect on Christians and Christian organizations, which have a heavy presence in the land.

And while some of the larger Christian organizations are granted long-term staff visas and will perhaps be able to cope better with sudden losses, the smaller organizations - subject to the new turnover even at the managerial and founding levels - could end up shutting down or, at best, severely minimizing their outreach in the land. The decision has left the community reeling and scrambling to make last-minute arrangements both for those leaving and others filling their voids. Volunteers who did not want to publicly criticize the government's decision spoke to Israel Today on background. One manager said it is a critical time to lose people after investing in them for two years. Another pointed out that their own date of impending departure didn't allow enough time to pass on their responsibilities. Yuval Yerushalmi, attorney for four Christian organizations in Jerusalem, said while the enforcement affects all volunteers, "all this is definitely making our lives more difficult." Yerushalmi stressed that the new regulations cannot be painted as "anti-Christian activity," but acknowledged that they will leave Christian organizations hard-pressed to function on the same scale as they once did. Even if, as many say, the Messianic Jewish body in Israel is forced out of the closet and picks up the humanitarian slack, one reason the Christians were here was to mend centuries-old rifts between Jews and Christians. That mission will undoubtedly be negatively impacted by the new regulations. Those volunteers asked to leave will be allowed back into Israel on another volunteer visa of 27 months after a year out of the country. However, they must return with a visa approved and issued by the Israeli embassy in their country of origin, a difficult and cumbersome task.
